BladeRunners is an employment readiness program which provides support and training to participants with the goal of assisting them in obtaining sustainable full-time employment.
The BladeRunners program is delivered to at-risk youth aged 17-30 who face significant obstacles to employment, and provides job readiness and life skills education designed to assist individuals locate, secure, and maintain employment in the British Columbia Labour Market.
Participants in the BladeRunners program receive 35 hours of foundational training and a minimum of five recognized certifications such as First Aid, WHIMIS, or FoodSafe. In addition, program staff facilitate 35 hours of life skills education designed to improve the opportunity for success. Following the completion of the BladeRunners program, participants benefit from ongoing support and mentorship to assist with job search, locating and securing employment, job coaching, and individualized support to maintain employment.
